For this years’ event we had a total of 73 people taking part in 1851 OppNed, 23 of those were competing in the race. The weather conditions created a challenge for the contestants, making it harder for people to be able to break the old records. However, there was one woman who soldiered through the weather and made a new record.

Anniken Hjelbakk Hole made a new record for women, making it to the finish line i 3:36:13. This was almost two hours (!!) faster than the old record. The woman from Hellesylt, now living in Valldal, got an overall 4th place in the entire race. In addition to this, she won 3000,- from Sparebanken Møre as a prize for breaking the old record.

There were three men who had to measure up with Anniken, the first one of these was Mattias Dahlberg, winning the race in 3:21:06

Nobody came close to breaking Lars Åkernes Rimereit’s record from 2018, when he made it to the finish line in 2:44:19. This record will probably stand for a while longer. If anyone is going to be able to break it, there are several elements that have to be in good condition, the weather for example.

50 exercisers were took the opportunity to go trekking, and enjoying themselves in the beautiful world heritage nature.
Meanwhile, in the at the finish line in the valley of Norddal, both trekkers, runners, and others got the opportunity to take part in the “Farmen-challenge”. As a part of this, people got to compete against former contestants of the popular TV-show “Farmen”. Axe throwing and the sledgehammer were both popular activities, but the main event was if wether the participants were able to milk a goat. In the end, the local hero, Ola Grønningsæter won the duel.
